Sit in Peace 2012

Join influential peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh in a London meditation sitting on March 31st 2012

Welcome…

on January 2, 2012

Breathing in … I am present … breathing out … I am at peace …

Thank you for taking the time to visit the Sit in Peace blog for London. We hope we can all join together on Saturday 31st March for a lifetime’s opportunity to seat peacefully with Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh – one of the most influential Zen Buddhists alongside the Dalai Lama.

We live in a day and age where there is rush, anxiety and pressure to reach our desired destination. But where is it that we are really going to? What does our journey really mean? And what do we miss when we move with such desperate speed, instead of walking with mindful steps and savouring all that passes us by?

Despite the various journeys that we follow, the different directions that we take, at the heart of every human being is the need for peace. And sometimes we need the guidance of someone who has experienced, understood and mastered the one true journey that we all need – the journey within.

It isn’t often that we can say we have been in the presence of a truly enlightened being who can help us on our way. Join Thich Nhat Hanh on the 31st of March to be guided into meditation which will help you let go of the perils of the past, the frets of the future and immerse yourself in the only moment that really counts: the present.

See the home page for more details about the Sit in Peace event in London on Saturday 31st March 2012.

We look forward to seeing you there…
